Biography

Dr. Ajoy Koomer joined Marshall B. Ketchum University College of Pharmacy in 2014 and is the Associate Dean for Assessment. Currently, he also serves as Director of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness at Marshall B. Ketchum University. Just prior to joining MBKU, he served in the role of Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical Sciences at Sullivan University College of Pharmacy in Louisville, KY with an additional appointment in the rank of Director of Assessment of PA (Physician Assistant) program under the umbrella of Sullivan University College of Health Sciences. He had also previously served as the Director of Assessment for PharmD programs in his two previous institutions (Sullivan University College of Pharmacy and Midway College School of Pharmacy), at various points in his career.

Dr. Koomer earned his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Pharmacy and EMBA from Sullivan University. Dr. Koomer’s teaching areas of interest include Physical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Calculations and Pharmacogenomics. He has published articles, written book chapters and has had several poster presentations.

Apart from his official responsibility to monitor program effectiveness at Marshall B. Ketchum University's College of Pharmacy, his outside hobbies include traveling and reading novels.
