Dr. Kristine Huang received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York, State College of Optometry, where she also completed a residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation. She also received her Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Dr. Huang joined the Pediatric Vision and Vision Therapy faculty at SCCO in 2005. She is an Associate Professor and teaches in courses on non-strabismic binocular vision conditions, visual information processing, and public health. In addition, she does clinical teaching of optometric interns in both services.

Dr. Huang is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of the American Optometric Association, American Public Health Association, College of Optometrists in Vision Development and Neuro-optometric Rehabilitation Association. Her research interests are related to strabismus, amblyopia, non-strabismic binocular vision disorders, and improving access to vision care. She serves as a clinical investigator in several NEI supported studies for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG) and for the Convergence Insufficiency Treatment Trial-Attention and Reading Trial (CITT-ART). Dr. Huang is also a Clinical Director for the Special Olympics Opening Eyes vision screening program.
