Biography

Dr. Chang Kim, a 1990 graduate of Southern California College of Optometry, completed his residency in Ocular Disease and Low Vision Rehabilitation at VA Outpatient Clinic in Los Angeles where he currently serves as the Chief of Optometry Service. He provides clinical care to veterans residing in and around downtown Los Angeles while participating in the training and education of fourth-year optometry students from SCCO as an assistant professor. Dr. Kim is licensed to practice in Washington, Tennessee and California with glaucoma certification and also holds certifications for operation and usage of several ophthalmic lasers. He has been published in several ophthalmology and optometry journals including, Journal of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, Contact Lens Spectrum and Review of Optometry and also has contributed in ophthalmology textbook, The Art of Lasik. Dr. Kim has lectured extensively on the therapeutic treatment of glaucoma, management of ocular emergencies, refractive and therapeutic lasers and complication management. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a member of American and California Optometric Association.
