Tradition Meets Innovation
In 1904, Dr. Marshall B. Ketchum opened the initial embodiment of what is now Marshall B. Ketchum University. Today, tradition meets innovation as we focus on interprofessional education and adopt the name of our founder.
The decision to refocus came from a deep assessment of the health care industry today — with the knowledge that the future will be based on collaborative care, where the patient is at the center of an interconnected team of health care professionals. Ketchum graduates will be ready. Here, students study and learn together from one another — and care for patients as a team.
The Future of Health Care Education
Ketchum University couldn’t be more excited to embark on this bold new adventure. The future of health care depends on successful interprofessional medical education.
As a leader in the effort, MBKU is creating the best clinical and educational environment to prepare tomorrow’s health care leaders. With our vision to reimagine the future of health care education, we are inspired to complete our quest to raise $20 million in the ACHIEVING 20|20 campaign. With the help of our MBKU family and friends as well as our SCCO and LACO alumni, we will cement our commitment to state-of-the-art facilities, outstanding clinical experiences as well as the student scholarship and research grant support that makes it all possible. I encourage you to give back today in support of Ketchum University.
