How to Make a Gift - Giving
Explore the many ways you can make your gift to MBKU.
Give instantly using a bank or credit card — donate to our Ketchum Fund for general support or select a specific college, scholarships or other clinical service of interest.
Gifts by Mail
Make out your check payable to Marshall B. Ketchum University (or MBKU), noting in an attached letter or on the memo line of your check how you would like to designate your gift. Mail your gift to University Advancement at 2575 Yorba Linda Blvd., Fullerton, CA 92831-1615.
Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and will match charitable contributions made by their employees. Ask your human resource manager if your employer or your significant other’s employer will match your gift.
Gifts of Stock
To make a gift of stock, please inform University Advancement of the company stock or mutual fund you intend to transfer as well as the approximate value of your gift. Include your broker’s name and telephone number, and identify how you would like to designate your gift.
If you are an employee at MBKU, you may make automatic gift payments directly from your paycheck. Visit the employee portal to download, complete and submit your Payroll Deduction form to University Advancement. Your gift is automatically deducted and sent to the program you choose to support.
To make a gift via wire transfer, please inform University Advancement of the amount and date you intend to make the transfer. Include your bank’s name and telephone number, and identify how you would like to designate your gift.
Items that you own and would like to donate (such as works of art, collectibles, equipment) and other personal assets or possessions of value may be donated to MBKU with written approval. Antique or inoperative equipment will not be accepted. In all instances, the donor is responsible for following all IRS appraisal requirements for donated in-kind gifts. In some instances, the donor may be responsible for shipping and other handling charges. To receive written approval for an in-kind donation, contact University Advancement.
Donor-Advised Fund Gifts
A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving vehicle that allows for donors to recommend grants over time to any IRS-qualified public charity. MBKU is a qualifying organization. To recommend a grant to any of our programs, contact University Advancement. MBKU is a 501(c)(3) non-profit institution; Tax ID # 95-1644593.
Pledge to Give
Pledged gifts may be made to any college, scholarship or other clinical service or campus program. Your pledge may be made at any amount as long as it is planned for payment in relatively equal installments up to five consecutive years. University Advancement will remind donors of upcoming installments due. The payment schedule may be defined as annual, quarterly, monthly or other schedule as specified by the donor with university approval.
