Dr. LaMotte received his undergraduate education at Eastern Washington State University and his Ph.D. at the University of Arizona, where he studied Endocrinology and Reproductive Physiology. In June, 1986 he received his O.D. degree from the New England College of Optometry and embarked upon an academic career which included the University of Waterloo, Illinois College of Optometry and the Southern California College of Optometry (since 1985). Dr. LaMotte teaches Anatomy and Physiology and Ocular Anatomy in the first professional year program at the college. Dr. LaMotte is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and his research includes studies on Ocular Physiology, Contact Sensitivity and Non-Invasive Tear Analysis.
