Title IX - Student Services

Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 defines and ensures gender equity in education. The law prohibits all forms of sex or gender-based discrimination in any education program or activity that receives federal funding. Title IX applies to all MBKU educational programs or activities, including sponsored off-campus programs.

Title IX states: 
“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”

Title IX applies to all employees (administrators, faculty, staff), not just students, at the university.
