Thirty-three boys learned first-hand about science-based careers through Adventures in Science a collaborative program of the Southern California College of Optometry, Raytheon and the Fullerton School District.  The science day began at Raytheon where the youngsters participated in technology-focused games.  They were transported after lunch to SCCO's campus for a presentation on optometry and participation in hands-on workshops.

SCCO faculty and optometric interns hosted the students and led the workshops – Crazy Contacts, Cow Eye Dissection and Low Vision Technology.  The day ended with an awards presentation for the boys with their parents in attendance.

The next Adventures in Science program will be held on March 15 and will welcome female students from local schools.Adventures in Science participant, Josh Preston, is pictured with Southern California College of Optometry Vice President and Dean of Academic Affairs Morris Berman, O.D., M.S.; and HTMS & Leadership SW Section Manager, Raytheon, Susie Amoroso.  Adventures in Science is a collaborative program of the Southern California College of Optometry, Raytheon and the Fullerton School District.
