Dr. James Shuler has more than 25 years of clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, and neurosurgery. He currently works full-time in neurosurgery at Lynchburg General Hospital, offering comprehensive care to patients with complex neurological conditions. He also serves as Director of the Neurosurgery Fellowship Program for PAs and Nurse Practitioners, helping prepare practice providers for careers in neurosurgery. Prior to his current role, he served as Associate Director of the University of Lynchburg’s DMSc program and as a faculty in the PA program. Dr. Shuler is committed to training future healthcare leaders and fostering innovation in patient care.
