She began her medical career by attending the Medical University of South Carolina's Physician Associate (PA) Program.  She went on to earn a Master of PA Studies degree, with a concentration in Physical Medicine and Pain Management.  She then earned a Ph.D. in Health Sciences, with a concentration in Healthcare Administration.

Biography

Dr. Love is an Associate Professor and core faculty member in the Doctor of Medical Science Program.  She teaches multiple courses in the program, with a focus on healthcare management, leadership, and administration.  She serves on multiple committees within the department and the University.  
  
Dr. Love has worked in several areas of medicine over the years, including physical medicine and pain management, urgent care, and occupational medicine.  Most recently, she owned and operated a medical practice specializing in care for Veterans.  She continues to write medical options for the VA.  She has dedicated most of her career to teaching PA students and graduate PAs.  She was a core faculty member and Associate Program Director for the PA program at A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona.  She taught for five years in the DMSc program at the University of Lynchburg (Virginia).  She has also taught several mind-body medicine courses for the Ph.D. program at Saybrook University (California).  

Dr. Love is the author of a book and several articles in peer-reviewed medical journals.  She has served as an invited speaker on wellness and medical topics at local, state, and international conferences.  She is a peer reviewer for medical journal articles. She is an NCCPA-certified PA, licensed to practice medicine in Arizona.
