Biography

Dr. Silvia Han graduated from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) with a Bachelor of Science in Psychobiology. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) at Marshall B. Ketchum University. Upon graduation from SCCO, Dr. Han completed a residency in Pediatric Optometry and Vision Therapy at Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. Following her residency, she joined SCCO as a part-time clinical instructor in the Pediatric Vision Care and Vision Therapy Services in the University Eye Center. She also worked in a private practice that specializes in vision therapy and another private practice performing pediatric primary care eye exams. 

In 2014, she became a full-time Assistant Professor with clinical and laboratory teaching responsibilities in the Pediatric Vision Care and Vision Therapy department. Dr. Han serves as a clinical investigator on several National Eye Institute (NEI) supported studies for the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG). Her research interests include non-strabismic binocular vision disorders, amblyopia, strabismus, and myopia control. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Han is also a member of American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association.
