Jean Kim, a member of the inaugural class of 2020 College of Pharmacy and the former president of the MBKU-ASHP Chapter, has been recently granted the Nutrition Support Certificate by the American Society of Health-System (ASHP) in collaboration with American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN). Jean developed an interest in total and peripheral parenteral nutrition (TPN/PPN) during her Integrated Pharmacotherapeutics III, taught by Dr. Genene Salman at MBKU. During one of her APPE rotations, she was able to help dose critical care patients for their TPN/PPN, which sparked her interest further into nutrition support.
