Studying at home can be challenging, especially with distractions like your bed, TV, or family. Finding the right place to study can make a huge difference, and I’ve tried out several of the spots MBKU’s campus has to offer!
1. Library
The first place to try is the MBKU library. It offers various seating options, whether you prefer studying alone or in a group. Large windows provide a beautiful view of the creek wildlife nearby which makes for a perfect scene to enjoy during study breaks.
2. Library Cubicles
In the MBKU library, there are several cubicle seats that offer a good amount of space to study. Each cubicle has an outlet so you do have to worry about device dying. Whenever I study in the library, I prefer to sit at one of these cubicles seats and really dial into my studying.
3. Warren & Carol Low Student Union
The Low Student Union Lounge is a great place to study and work on assignments, The room is very spacious with many seats and outlets. unlike the library, you can feel free to collaborate openly and work on group assignments or study on your own. Just across the hall, there are snacks, microwaves, a pool table, and a ping pong table that you can enjoy during your study breaks to recharge before getting back to study.
4. Outdoor Tables
If you're tired of being indoors after lectures or labs, there are several outdoor tables across campus that make great study spots. These tables are my favorite place to study because I like to enjoy the fresh air and I am able to stretch my legs and take short walks around the campus as study breaks.
5. Study Rooms in the Front of the Library
Right outside of the library there are several study rooms that are great places to study in groups. These rooms have white boards that are great to mind map concepts or work out problems in addition to TVs that you can connect your devices to as well. Feel free to try out any of these locations or explore other locations I did not go over. Finding the right study spot made a big difference for me and i hope this helps you as well!
