Last week, @mbkuapha and @mbkucshp hosted a networking event, "Find My Match," to connect current students with MBKU faculty and CSHP and C/APhA pharmacists. Thanks to their innovative use of virtual meeting rooms, the event was a fun and successful way to help students find their "match" and learn more about their options in the vast range of pharmacy specialties, such as psychiatric, industry, infectious disease, veterinary, informatics, residency and more! ??? ?

Today is #WorldSiteDay which focuses on the global issue of eye health. The prevalence of vision impairment in many low- and middle-income regions is estimated to be four times higher than in high-income regions. With such vast inequities existing in the distribution of vision impairment, the burden tends to be greater in rural areas and for older people, women, people with disabilities, ethnic minorities and indigenous populations. One way our student optometrists provide #hopeinsight is with medical mission trips.

In a recent article for @theaosa's new content hub, Foresite, SCCO Class of 2023 students, Joshua Yim and Christopher Quan, shared some sage advice on adjusting to a remote learning environment. While they write from their own experience as optometry students, their advice offers reassurance for any student to "realize the challenge and know you’re not alone." Check out the article linked in our bio for some guidance on navigating a remote learning world.
