How cool is it that SCCO Alumni, Dr. Hannah Cho of @floeopt, is developing her own brand of glasses? She even had her adorable daughters model some sample frames, “Got our first samples of our FLOE glasses ? So excited and girls did an impromptu photoshoot right before bedtime. And they really tried to break the flex titanium material but they couldn’t break them!…” We can't wait to see the final products! ?: @floeoptometrist

#FacesofMBKU - ? Meet Kathleen Tran, the 20-21 MBKU Student Association Treasurer! She shared with us: "Hi MBKU family! My name is Kathleen Tran, the current MBKUSA Treasurer, and currently a third-year student pharmacist. I am very delighted to serve as Treasurer for our community. I was born and raised in Việt Nam, then moved to America after finishing high school. I love cooking, yoga, and rollerskating. I am also currently serving on the College of Pharmacy Assessment Committee to help with professional activities.

Ryan Funai, a familiar face as AOSA Trustee and MBKU Social Media Ambassador, shared how his prolific summer is setting the stage for greater things ahead, "Over the past couple months, us 3rd year students have been adapting to COVID, slowly taking care of patients with extensive protocols of scrub, masks, one way hallways, and constant cleaning ?Nothing’s going to stop us from achieving the patient counts we need to become great healthcare providers.

? Meet Nicole Lynch, the School of PA Studies Class of 2020 President, who is graduating this November and going full steam ahead into Fall. She shared a little bit about her passion with us: "I have always had an interest in working with children whether it was volunteering at the cancer ward at the children’s hospital or at Progression Athletic International that works with at-risk youth. It’s incredible that it has come full circle. I’m currently on rotation at CHLA in Pediatric Oncology. Every day I feel so humbled for the opportunity to meet such incredible kids.

Meet the College of Pharmacy Class of 2022 President: "Hi! My name is Thammy Banaag and I am currently a 3rd year in the Pharmacy program! Working in the field for 8 years now, I couldn't have made a better choice for my career. MBKU has taught me to be a strong leader and effective student and has also given me the chance to meet outstanding people sharing the same journey as me. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my maltipoo named Sushi, dancing, and strolling through Home Goods!
