In our recent publication of the President's Report, we sat down with faculty to talk about the impact of giving back, “Our desire is to be a part of something bigger than our own university,” says PA Allison Mollet, about receiving a grant from the PA Education Association (PAEA)to facilitate the development, deployment and assessment of a standardized substance use disorder (SUD) curriculum for PA programs. “We want to contribute to the field of medicine. This really has the potential to affect a health care epidemic.” Read the full article at the link in our bio.

In our recent publication of the President's Report, we sat down with faculty to talk about the impact of giving back, “I reflect back and see that someone decades ago thought it was important to set up a scholarship,” says Dr. Dawn Lam, Associate Professor and SCCO alumna. “They didn’t know who was going to get it. They just wanted to help students in optometry school and I was a lucky recipient of some of those scholarships. I am so thankful for that. Now I’m in a position to give back.

"Reminder to never ever forget where you started ?? First pic is from SCCO’s Spring Open House 6 years ago! I was so determined to get into Optometry school, but I was also nervous - getting all my pre-reqs finished, taking the OAT, the interview! ? Well, as my 4th and final year wraps up, I fittingly was doing some spring cleaning and came across my “pre-optometry” folder...So, reminder to be proud of your accomplishments and take a moment to appreciate how far you’ve come ?" - @eyedocbock
