As we wrap up our third week of remote learning, we've learned a lot. Like, it's ok if your daily commute is from your bed to the couch and it's ok to feel distracted and overwhelmed. We're so amazed at some of the responses we've seen to #COVID19 such as from PA student, Aaron Hunro, who helped set up a GoFundMe to say #ThankYouFrontliners by raising money to bring meals to health care providers and supporting local businesses! Their first donation allowed them to feed the team at West Anaheim Hospital Emergency Department with food from @pizzaprojectusa

The SCCO Professional Committee hosted their first Eye-to-Eye webinar thanks to the organization of Caroline Quan and Christoper Quan, our Local Optometric Society Liaisons. Over 45 students from SCCO, WUCO, and UCB were able to talk to the San Diego County Optometric Society without having to drive all the way down to San Diego! This the first of our webinar series and we are excited to talk to the 10 more California Optometric Societies in order to connect our students to learn more outside of the classroom.
