Meet the MBKUSA Student Relations Committee Chair: "Hello MBKU! My name is Theresa Tran and I am a third year optometry student. I grew up in Westminster and graduated from UCI with a BS in Biological Sciences, a BA in Education Sciences, and a minor in Management. Why the education degree? I loved teaching children at my church so much that I decided to learn how to become a better teacher for them. I unfortunately took a break from teaching when I started optometry school, but I hope to pick it up after graduating.

The first photo is from our virtual Q&A discussion, in which we were able to discuss and answer any COVID-19 related questions from the residents and staff of the Thomas House Temporary Shelter. The second photo is of our Master's Capstone group donating supplies, masks, and children's games to the shelter. We also had the great distinction of having Speaker of the California State Assembly, Anthony Rendon, congratulating the College of Pharmacy Class of 2020. He acknowledged the extraordinary journey of being the first College of Pharmacy graduating class amidst a pandemic and the vital role they will play, "Your communities are looking to you, knowing that you have the intelligence and the will to make great changes to improve our world."

We would like to recognize the 4 Valedictorians from SCCO's Class of 2020. These graduates earned the highest academic honors and shared their future plans with us:
? Abby Thrasher Alexander, OD, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, will complete a residency in primary care/low vision rehabilitation at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.
? Kristanza Bronnenberg, OD, of Cody, Wyoming, will join a private practice in her hometown.
? Chelsey Honma, OD, of Seal Beach, California, will join an established private practice in Costa Mesa, California.
