Meet the College of Pharm

Meet the College of Pharmacy Class of 2022 President: "Hi! My name is Thammy Banaag and I am currently a 3rd year in the Pharmacy program! Working in the field for 8 years now, I couldn't have made a better choice for my career. MBKU has taught me to be a strong leader and effective student and has also given me the chance to meet outstanding people sharing the same journey as me. When I am not at school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and my maltipoo named Sushi, dancing, and strolling through Home Goods!

Meet the SCCO Class of 2022 President: "My name is Becky Phung, but my class knows me as the girl with the high Rx, love for Trader Joes, and a soft spot for Michael B. Jordan. Even with social distancing still in place, I believe that MBKUSA can work together to brainstorm new and creative ways to enhance the student experience and I am always grateful to be involved. This is my third year being on MBKUSA, and what I am excited about most is getting to work with my fellow Eyevengers, Theresa and Sara, who are now involved, as well!

Meet the SCCO Class of 2023 President: "I hope all is well! My name is Kevin Nguyen entering my second year at SCCO. I'm from the Garden Grove area and graduated from CSULB. Some of my passions are dance, cooking, and gaming. Much of what I look forward to this year for MBKUSA is working alongside with leadership positions from different programs to continue providing a fun experience for our peers despite not being able to be on campus. What I also look forward to this academic year, hopefully, is seeing my fellow peers and being back in labs." #FacesofMBKU

Here, the SPAS welcome committee consisted of an excited crew of faculty, staff and peer advisors. Meet the MBKUSA Student Health Committee Chair: "Hello everyone! My name is Diana Zhang and I am now a third-year pharmacy student at MBKU. I was born in Utah then moved to Canada but spent most of my life living in China. Because I moved around so much when growing up, I had the opportunity to meet so many people from different backgrounds and cultures, that’s why one of my greatest passions is traveling. I also love eating (sushi), skating, and watching Korean drama in my free time.

Meet the MBKUSA Student Relations Committee Chair: "Hello MBKU! My name is Theresa Tran and I am a third year optometry student. I grew up in Westminster and graduated from UCI with a BS in Biological Sciences, a BA in Education Sciences, and a minor in Management. Why the education degree? I loved teaching children at my church so much that I decided to learn how to become a better teacher for them. I unfortunately took a break from teaching when I started optometry school, but I hope to pick it up after graduating.
