This year a national spotlight shone on MBKU, as its own Dr. Susan Cotter was announced as the recipient of American Academy of Optometry's Glenn A. California Eye Specialists Medical Group, Inc. in Pasadena, CA is one of the rotation sites that fourth-year SCCO students like Talin Sarkissian intern with. In addition to being a site for clinical rotations, we are thrilled to announce that they have recently established a Residency Program for Ocular Disease!

Congratulations to SCCO Class of 2021 President, Courtney Park, who is one of the recipients of this year's Johnson & Johnson Vision J. Pat Cummings Scholarship! Courtney has been recognized for her demonstration of ideal eye care standards of practice, achievement in both academic performance and extra-curricular activities, and participation with other professional pursuits such as involvement with patients through internships, community service, and other volunteer activities. #MBKUProud

Did you know that the first PA graduates consisted of four Navy corpsmen? In honor of #VeteransDay we're featuring Michael Bux, who is an emblem of that history. Back in Winter 2018, we sat down with Michael to talk about his service as an active-duty Navy Corpsman from 2004-2013, as well as the history of Navy Corpsman and their advanced medical training. This past weekend, it all came full circle, as he graduated from the SPAS Class of 2019! #SPASCommencement2019 #mbkuproud
